3. Updating location

Updating details about your location on your Twitter account, when you post something, is unnecessary and risky as well. You are giving out clear clues to culprits about your whereabouts when you post your location. In the privacy settings, there is a tab called “Add a location to my Tweets. You just need to un-tick this option so that nobody knows about your location.

4. Location history deletion

In the previous point how you can take away, your location details from your current and future posts. What happens to the location details that you have already posted? Do not worry; Twitter gives you the option to delete them. All you need to do is to go to your “settings” and click on the “Twitter location” option. Here you will get an option called “Delete all location information.” Click on this option to see all your location history being wiped out within seconds.

5. Don’t encourage tagging

Go to privacy page, choose the photo-tagging option and then tick on the option that says “do not allow anyone to tag me in photos.” With this simple trick, you can protect your account to a great extent.
